Inga Dunbar
Inga Dunbar was born in Wales to Scottish parents. She was brought up and educated in Scotland, where she became a teacher. After retirement, she joined the Aberdeen Writers’ Workshop and the Scottish Association of Writers, and won their Quaich for a romantic historical novel.
‘The Chequerboard’, her first major novel, was published in 1991 to great acclaim, and was followed by ‘Candlemaker Row’, ‘Tanners’ Close’, ‘Figure of Eight’ and ‘The Queen’s Bouquet’.
Inga Dunbar lives in Aberdeen with her husband.
