She was also an Emmy Award-winning producer for ABC News for more than a decade, where she covered global politics. Her writing has been published in the New York Times, Newsweek, Talk, The Daily Beast, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, among others.

William Dylan Powell is a Houston-based writer specialised in all things Texas. A regular contributor to the Houston Chronicle, he is a member of the Houston Writers League, the Houston Press Club, and the Houston chapter of the Association of Authors and Publishers. He has also written about wider Texas and is the author of the original Austin Then and Now® (2006) and Texas Then and Now® (2013).

He later trained as a Russian interpreter but moved away from languages to follow an academic career, first as a lecturer in English and the History of Ideas, and then as an administrator. Michael Pearce now lives in London and is best known as the author of the award-winning Mamur Zapt books.
