Gwen Millward
Gwen Millward grew up in the heart of the Welsh countryside.
She had her heart set on becoming a naturalist when she was five and was quite obsessed with David Attenborough. She filled her bedroom with jars full of caterpillars and tubs of tadpoles, much to the annoyance of her sister(they shared a bedroom).
She studied illustration at the Edinburgh College of Art where her passion for picture books began. She now lives in Bristol.
Maurizio Campidelli
Maurizio credits his career as an illustrator to a childhood leg injury. While spending months recovering from a broken leg, he learned to love illustration while reading many, many comics. After working as an art director, he started his own illustration studio and collaborates with publishers, graphic design studios, and advertising agencies. Maurizio lives in in Rimini, Italy.
Paul Nicholls
Paul Nicholls graduated with a BA Hons Degree from the North Wales School of Art & Design and has since worked for a wide variety of clients producing illustrations for the Advertising, Editorial, Fine Art, Greetings and Publishing sectors. He currently works digitally. Paul lives on the coast of Mid Wales, where he shares a studio with his partner and fellow illustrator Melanie Mitchell. In his spare time he enjoys mountain biking, golf and chasing their two children around the beach.
Polly Dunbar
Polly Dunbar is one of the best known author/illustrators working in the UK today, she has created many much loved books for children. Polly’s books have been adapted for stage and for screen.
Polly has worked with many authors including, Michael Morpurgo, Michael Rosen, Eoin McLaughlin and most recently MG Leonard.
Polly is also the co-founder of Long Nose Puppets, a children’s theatre company.
