Fiona Dixon

Fiona Dixon has been getting lost in fantasy worlds for a long as she can remember. As a child, she spent a lot of time in wardrobes hoping to find a portal to another world or exploring the woods on imaginary adventures. After travelling the globe and working in New York and New Zealand, Fiona now lives in a 200-year-old cottage on the Oxfordshire/ Northamptonshire border with her husband and two cats.

Fyodor Dostoyevsky

Fyodor Dostoyevsky (1821– 1881) was a Russian author and journalist whose novels, short stories and essays explore religious, philosophical and political aspects of the human condition, and are considered by many to be the most influential writing of the modern world, including his novella Notes from Underground, one of the earliest Existential texts. He spent a decade in the Tsarist penal system for reading banned books, including four years in a Siberian prison camp, but survived to become one of the most famous and highly regarded world writers.

Polly Dunbar

Polly Dunbar is one of the best known author/illustrators working in the UK today, she has created many much loved books for children. Polly’s books have been adapted for stage and for screen.

Polly has worked with many authors including, Michael Morpurgo, Michael Rosen, Eoin McLaughlin and most recently MG Leonard.

Polly is also the co-founder of Long Nose Puppets, a children’s theatre company.

M. R. G. Davies

Michael abandoned a successful career as a newspaper editor to write fiction. As an author, he completed Desmond Bagley’s thriller Domino Island for posthumous publication and has written two sequels, Outback and Thin Ice, both published by HarperCollins. His debut play Rasputin’s Mother won the Bristol Old Vic playwriting competition and subsequent work for the stage includes The Seagull Has Landed (Power Plays festival winner), MacHamLear (UK tour), Reality (Royal & Derngate) and the book and lyrics for Tess – The Musical (workshopped at the RSC). He has written narrative non-fiction for worldwide television, had short stories and poetry commissioned and published, and contributes regular essays for theatre programmes.

Aimee Donnellan

Aimee Donnellan is a columnist at Reuters, where her reporting has focused on the pharmaceutical, airline, and insurance industries since 2017. Previously she was the Sunday Times banking correspondent, and covered the bond market for the International Financing Review. She holds degrees in English and History from the University of Ireland, Galway, and in journalism from the London School of Journalism. She lives in Galway with her wife and two children. Rachael Davis

Rachael Davis is a mixed-race Black children’s author represented by Alice Williams. She grew up in a low-income single-parent family and studied Mathematics at Oxford University before doing a masters in English Literature at Surrey University. Rachael writes inclusive and empowering books for children of all ages, both fiction and non-fiction, and is passionate about showcasing diversity, STEM and mental wellness.

Donna David is a children’s author, freelance writer and creative writing workshop practitioner.
