Julia Lawless

Julia Lawless has been interested in aromatic plants since childhood, having been brought up in a family with a strong herbal tradition. Her Finnish mother, a biochemist, was involved in the research of aromatic oils and established her own essential oil company – Aqua Oleum. In 1983 Julia took over responsibility for the formulation of natural aromatic products for the company. Julia has also studied Western and Tibetan herbal medicine and is a qualified aromatherapist. She lectures and broadcasts and is also the author of several books, including ‘The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Essential Oils’.
