Vivianne Crowley has a Ph.D. in psychology and trained in counselling. Formerly Lecturer in Psychology of Religion at King’s College, University of London and Adjunct Professor at the Union Institute, Cincinnati, she is now based at the University of London’s specialist theology and philosophy college, Heythrop College, Kensington, where she runs courses for the only MA in Psychology of Religion in the English-speaking world.

Vivianne Crowley is also a major author on Wicca and on contemporary Pagan spirituality. She has written numerous books for practitioners as well as academic research articles for international conferences, journals and academic publishers. She is a leading figure in the development of contemporary Wicca. With her husband Chris Crowley, she founded the Wicca Study Group, a teaching organization that runs workshops and courses that have enabled thousands of people to learn about Wicca. She established the Pagan Prison Chaplaincy Service for British prisons and has been a member for many years of the Pagan Federation’s Interfaith Committee.
